mission Statement
Awake In The Light is a ministry dedicated to spreading the Gospel and building up the disciples of Christians develop a more spiritually robust walk through good teaching, discernment, apologetics, and navigating a culture constantly trying to turn them to left or right.
While we provide a mixture of content we have a particular focus on discernment and apologetics against cultural and spiritual beliefs inconsistent with Scripture. We believe that as the Western world becomes more interested in the spiritual world, discernment content can be used to not only keep the church spiritually alert and at the ready, but can be a light that leads to the way of truth to those who see the spiritual evil in the world and hopefully in themselves and recognize their need of a Savior from that evil which is from within and without.
Meet The Warrens
Awake In The Light was founded by Max Warren in 2025 though it had been on Max’s heart for years. Max wouldn’t be able to do this ministry without the help of his wife Tahlia. She’s a helper who helps make the time for him to record the content and joins in on some of our content. (We try to be Biblical and respect 1 Timothy 2:12 and are open to feedback on how we’re doing there)
The Lord saved Max sometime in 2020 when he had learned about covid in late January and knew by February / March that the government and news was covering up what would turn into a global pandemic. Addicted to drugs and pornography and every sort of vice, Max was also withering away in his apartment at this time. Using some brushes with death and Max’s previous encounters with the occult, conspiracies, and the New Age, God showed Max the evil within the world but more importantly within himself and his complete inability to do anything about it. God then faithfully and graciously led Max to read the Bible daily and freed him from his addictions, the last glaring chain of pornography being broken in October of 2020 with Max being humbled to see it was Christ and Christ alone who brings us the new life where we can cast aside every weight and sin that besets us and run the race set before all those who are called by His name. Glory be to God.
The evil Max so willingly delighted in, God used for good and gave him gifts of discernment to see the spiritual influences in the culture and in the church. Watching the 2020 and 2024 elections, it became apparent that the US was going through a series of spiritual changes and cultural shifts and he began to see that with the wave of cultural Christianity and populism on the horizon, the New Age, occult and Catholic beliefs would be surfing that wave into American culture. This isn’t to say no good could come of what’s happening, but we firmly believe the church needs apologetics more than ever to defend against wolves and an influx of heretical beliefs, helping new members to the church to leave their worldly baggage at the door in love.
